”Open Doors Day" at Sarmizegetusa Regia

Today, on the Day of the Open Doors, the Mihai Eminescu Trust Foundation, as Partner of the project Capital of Dacia - living museum of European cultural heritage, whose applicant is Hunedoara County Council, has prepared a pavilion with promotional materials and informative panels for informal discussions with visitors interested in the activities of the project, respectively the involvement of the Mihai Eminescu Trust Foundation.

At the same time, the Foundation carried out a series of activities with children, from shaping clay in different forms, to puzzle games with archaeological tools. At the end of the activities, each child who participated, pasted a note on the flip chart with the impressions and opinions they had after the event. The project of restoration and revitalization of the archaeological site Sarmizegetusa Regia is financed by EEA Grants 2014-2021 within Programul RO-Cultura . The grant for this project is 1,897,384.23 euro, plus the contribution of Hunedoara County Council in the amount of 848,865.92 euro.
