The archaeological documentation stage of the fortification from Grădiștea de Munte – Sarmizegetusa Regia, for the Technical Project phase was completed. The information obtained on the constructive peculiarities of the wall and of the gates represents a fundamental support for the conservation and valorisation works that will be carried out in the ancient capital. 

The project of restoration and revitalization of the archaeological site Sarmizegetusa Regia is financed by EEA Grants 2014-2021 within Program RO-Cultura . The grant for this project is 1.897.384,23 euro, plus the contribution of Hunedoara County Council in the amount of 848.865,92 euro. The total duration of the project is 42 months.
