Yesterday, our colleagues from the Mihai Eminescu Trustarrived at Sarmizegetusa to "test" in the field the IT application that they have to realize within the project. This week it looks like we will have the app ready!

Reintegration of the historical monument into the community space and its promotion by unconventional methods such as programming an IT application, installed and managed from the mobile phone/tablet, which brings back the history of the monument. The monument will be visualized on the screen, through the magic of augmented reality. How? By simply orienting the smartphone camera towards the historical monument, the screen will display its reconstructed image in a situated simulation. The smart app will run algorithms that identify areas of the historical site and display on the device screen an image of which virtual holograms from another historical period will be added, thus creating a merge of the real world and the virtual world.
